Presented on the occasion of Paris Photo, Archeologia del presente reflects on how we observe, archive, and assign meaning to the world we inhabit, turning contemporaneity into a site of excavation.
A speculative investigation of our time through visual, analytical, and imaginative practices, Archeologia del presente brings together the projects developed during a workshop with Giaime Meloni into a single work articulated across multiple chapters. Through photographs, annotations, archival materials, and observational approaches, the book unfolds as a device for reading the present: what normally passes unnoticed is gathered, classified, deciphered, and recomposed.
